- 60% of respondents identified process issues and other people’s lack of knowledge as the biggest challenges they face as grant professionals
Most people do want to do the right thing, but often it can feel like it’s the blind, leading the blind.
Without a clear vision of best practices and requirements, the grant environment can be one of chaos and backtracking through a maze of confusing grant regulations and audit findings.
Reason #2: Little Knowledge of What Effective Grant Management Looks Like…
- 83% of respondents want a greater understanding of grant management process flows and best practices for a compliance program so they can improve communication with others in the organization and have more efficient and effective grant management methods
Many accomplished grant professionals are willing to step into a leadership role but maybe lacking expertise in subjects like internal controls, and fiscal management.
Reason #3: Better Tools to be a Better Grant Manager…
- 80% of respondents asked for help with questions about indirect cost rates and assistance with proposal preparation so they can feel confident about developing the cost allocation part of the grant proposal
